The most iconic and high-performance car, Ford Mustang has been launched in Malaysia with two engine options- 2.3-litre and 5.0-litre. The former is priced at RM488,888 or INR 79.04 Lakhs and the later is tagged for RM598,888 or INR 96.83 Lakhs. The heart winning car also known as the American Muscle and first came in the four-wheeler segment in 1962. Those who aren't aware that one of the India based variant was also showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and due for its launch during the festive season.
Now talking about the thing for which Mustang is renowned name in the car world is its performance. Its 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine is good for a power of 317 Bhp at the rate of 5,500 rpm with 432 Nm of torque at 3,000 rpm. On the other side, its 5.0-litre motor can fire out 416 Bhp of power at the rate of 6,500 rpm with 530 Nm of torque at 4,250 rpm. Only a 6-speed automatic transmission unit is available to help the engine for sending the power at wheels. It has also an option of paddle shifters.
Ford has offered five shades with both the trims namely Race Red, Shadow Black, Deep Impact Blue, Oxford White and Magnetic. Additionally, the 5.0-litre version comes with a special Triple Yellow Tri-Coat color.
Some of the standard features are listed as HID headlamps, daytime running lights, dual zone climate control, rear camera, an eight-inch SYNC 2 infotainment system, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a tyre pressure monitoring system and many others.
