The Honda CBR 150R gets more power by 0.71 BHP

The CBR150 R is a sport bike from Honda, which comes with a 150cc four-stroke engine. Recently, the company has made insignificant changes in the power of CBR 150 in the same engine. Thus, the power increases by 0.71 BHP. Now, the bike produces 18.28BHP of power at 10,500RPM, while the peak torque remains the same at 12.6Nm at 8500RPM, all the power is sent to the rear wheel through the six speed gearbox. Thus, an increase in the power is not much as well, but it will give more performance than before.

On the other hand, the company is going to replace the Honda 250 models by upcoming Honda 300R for the international market. The upcoming sport motorcycle will be launched in the first quarter of the next year, 2015. However, the CBR 150R is based on the VFR motorcycle.

Apart from the tech spec, all the design cues are copied from the CBR 250R. The 150R is pretty much standard that features a compact clip-on handlebar, split seats and glorious front body cowl. It is based on the diamond frame, which make it more stable for urban riding. It comes with front telescopic forks and rear mono shock suspension that do a good job on the bumpy roads. The stopping power comes from its standard front and rear disc brake.

After upgrading in the power, Honda claims that the fuel efficiency of the CBR 150 R remains the same and the bike will give a claimed fuel economy of 34.8 KMPL. If the price is to be concerned, the price tag of Honda CBR is INR 1,29,621 lakh (on road, Delhi) for the standard variant, which is much higher than that of its competitors.
