Ford Ranger Wildtrak, the most awaited and much talked about model in the UTE segment of Ford has been finally unveiled in Thailand today. Reportedly, it is going to be launched along with the rest of the models in 'Ford Ranger' line-up during this year's second half in Australia. This UTE is all set to give a tough competition to its rivals in terms of technology as well as style. Despite having a rough and tough exterior, it looks quite attractive with its 18 inches alloy wheels, a classy black coloured trapezoidal grille, mirror caps on the side and door handles finished in grey colour. It also features air vents, spacious bed rails and tail-lights.
Coming to the interior part of Wildtrak, there is an 8.0 inch touchscreen system with Sync 2 for infotainment along with the facility of satellite navigation system offering various connectivity options. Safety features like, tyre pressure monitoring system, Forward Alert system preventing collision, Driver Impairment Monitor detecting whether the driver is alert or not, Voice Command, Emergency Assist make it all the more special.
This UTE is powered by a 3.2 litre 5-cylinder turbo-diesel with 470 Nm matching to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. There is also a system of Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) which provides assistance in improving fuel economy. Other highlighted features like Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist and parking censors with rear view camera further prove that the level of brilliance applied in designing this model is remarkable.
