The Second Generation Renault Duster Spied Testing first Time in Europe

A fully camouflaged test mule of the second- generation Duster has been spotted testing for the first time in Europe. The 2018 Renault Duster reportedly will make its debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Dacia Duster (Renault Duster) is named after European selling, which is currently on sale in the European market since from 2010 and it is ready to revamp in India later in this year. The current second-generation Duster was the first SUV built under Renault’s Romanian subsidiary Dacia, since its launch 2010 in Europe.

The second generation duster will use an updated version of the B0/Logan platform that carried from the first-generation Logan (now called the Mahindra Verito). It is one of the affordable SUV in Europe market and received good reviews from the media, just because of cars available at affordable prices and good value for money. Relaunched with the name Renault Duster, made its way to India in July 2012 with some additional changes, including the addition of rear AC vents among others. The 2018 Duster will be equipped with a long-wheelbase version and seven-seater capacity.

Mechanically, it is expected that it will come up with two engine variant, a 1.5-litre petrol engine, and 1.5-litre diesel engine. India is one of the important markets for Duster brand and the second- generation Duster is likely to be launched very soon across the Globe.

From the Spied Testing Images, it is clear that style of the second generation car will make by keeping in mind the current car. It is expected that the second- generation Duster is similar to a first-gen model in terms of looking. It is also tipped that the 2018 Duster will move to Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF platform and we have doubts that the upcoming car would make it more costly to manufacture; which would not be fitted for Dacia’s image being affordable and good value for money.

From the front fascia, the headlamps are sleeker and lower air-drim grille is larger in size. The upcoming car continues with the feature muscular wheel arches along with a generous ground clearance.

The interior images of the second- generation Duster are not leaked but in one image, the 2018 Duster’s three circular central air vents are visible and the dash of the car is placed relatively higher like a bigger SUVs. From the rear side, the tail lamps are similar to the current layout.
