Market leader in scooter segment in India, Honda Activa has got into its 5-generation with a series of significant changes and addition which will further enhance its popularity to a new level among the audience. Debuted in front of Indian audience at the recent 2018 Auto Expo, Honda Activa 5G is going to get strong competition as the scooter segment already has and also observed the arrival of new scooters from the brands like TVS, Hero MotoCorp, Suzuki, etc.
Besides wearing similar design language to the previous generation, the Honda Activa has got numerous modifications. But here we are highlighting the five features that will definitely work in the way as the company thought of to generate revenue.
New Shades: Earlier, fourth generation Activa model was available in seven shades, but with this upgraded 5G version, Honda is offering two new paint schemes including Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Pearl Spartan Red. With the inclusion of these two new colours the choices now extended from seven to nine.
New Headlamp Assembly: The new Honda Activa now features segment-first full-LED headlamp and position lights. This first in segment setup will not only offer the better illumination than the Activa 4G but also give a distinctive appearance to the scooter at the front fascia.

Semi-Digital Instrument Console: This feature for rider convenience now provides all the ride related information in an improved way as it is a digital-analogue unit that makes easy to read meters. In the setup, there is a service reminder that will remind the rider when to get the vehicle for the service. Whereas, the ECO indicator helps in enhancing the fuel efficiency of the Activa 5G.
Retractable Shopping Hook: More practical than ever, the Honda Activa 5G is designed in a way to offer much space for storage under seat and carrying shopping bags. The scooter offers an 18-litre space beneath the seat and dual hooks at the front and rear side. The rear side hook is retractable. Besides, the mobile phone charging sockets are carried forward as it is the previous model.
Easy Push Button Seat Opener: Honda fixes this Activa 5G with a convenient 4-in-1 lock that comes with a seat release button that in a single push easily open the seat. Almost for every user, it becomes easier and ends up the need of putting the key from front to rear under the seat for the whole mechanism.
Remaining bits include a dedicated pocket for mobile phone, metal cover over muffler and combi braking setup for precise braking.

The rivals which give competition to scooter in 110cc segment encompasses Hero Maestro Edge, TVS Jupiter and the Suzuki Access. The Activa 5G is a true successor and will definitely continue the charm of Activa in the audience with these range of alluring features and new colour options.
