Altogether, the Bajaj Auto also had a craze for its Avenger series among the audience. But, a considerable scope of segment expansion, made several domestic and international firms rolled out their vehicles at a relatively competitive price sticker to take on with the market leader Royal Enfield and first runner-up Bajaj Auto in this cruiser genre of biking. It is the most selling motorcycle from the market leader Royal Enfield in the segment. The heartbeat of the current generation in cruiser category, the RE Classic 350 is being offered in numerous colour option and variant on the basis of offered brake variant. Lately, the brand introduced the new Gunmetal Grey for Classic 350 that comes with the premium feature of a rear disc brake and a new swingarm. This model will be priced you on-road at INR 1.59 lakh. Whereas the standard Classic 350 is on sale at INR 1,39,039 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It is powered by a 346 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that makes out 19.8bhp and 28Nm of peak torque via a mated 5-speed gearbox.
Suzuki Intruder 150 is the first cruiser motorcycle offered by the Japanese bike maker. It comes with a premium motorcycle with a distinctive appeal. Priced at INR 98,340 (ex-showroom, India), the motorcycle comes equipped with life-saving ABS features that most of the bikes in this pricing segment misses out. The Avenger Street/Cruise 220 is similarly priced and much popular among the youth though this advanced fitment of ABS is not the part of its cycle parts.
Powering for this new cruiser comes from Gixxer shared 154.9cc powertrain that is capable of developing the maximum power of 14.8bhp at 8,000 rpm and the peak torque of 14 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The carburettor injected engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox to transmit overall power to the rear wheel.
Bajaj Avenger Street/Cruise 220 are the top end variants of the newly launched Avenger series. However, they are the most accessible options available at the pricing of INR 87,738 (ex-showroom, Delhi) in this category. The Avenger series observed a revision with the introduction of two new variant the Street and the Cruiser in October last year. Beneath the fuel tank, both the Street and the Cruise 220 gets the propelling power from a 220cc, single-cylinder engine. Mated to a five-speed gearbox, the mill spawns out 19bhp along with 17.50Nm of torque.
Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is the motorcycle with original old school Royal Enfield styling. It comes without a disc brake and electric start. This retro cruiser comes featured with analogue instrument console consisting speedometer, ammeter, and a key slot on the console.
Underneath the fuel tank, the motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled 346cc single-cylinder four stroke engine. Mated to a five-speed gearbox with the gear-lever on the left side, the engine generates 19.8bhp and 28Nm of torque.
UM Renegade Duty S is the lately launched cruiser from American bike maker at the 2018 Auto Expo. Along with this model, the company also rolled out its top end variant, the Duty Ace. the pricing for the former model is INR 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Whereas, to own the latter one you will have to spend the total of INR 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom). As compared to other models available in the UM lineup, the Renegade Duty is slight tiny and is packed with more cost-effective components to keep the price in check.
Will be availed in the matte finish for the Indian market, the UM Renegade Duty S comes packed with a 223cc, single cylinder engine. The mill in association with a five-speed gearbox is capable of spitting out 17hp at 8000 rpm and 17Nm at 5000rpm. The Renegade Duty will be seen on the Indian roads from July 2018. Whereas, the ABS and Fi variants of the same will hit the dealerships by the end of this year.
