Toyota Corolla Altis Facelift Production Model Spotted in Turkey

As we have seen some official images of the upcoming toyota Corolla Altis Facelift on the Internet. The good news is that the model has been recently spotted in Turkey. The fresh pictures of the test mule tells a lot about the car. The car has been spotted in the production forms and hints that the car is now ready to roll out from the facility soon.

Talking about the exterior counterpart, the new refreshed Corolla Altis gets major cosmetic updation in comparison to its predecessor. The updation include new set of headlamps with DRLs, new front grille and a reprofiled bumper installed with a different air dam in the front. The side profile too gets a new pattern. The taillight gets a chrome strip surrounded and the vehicle has been offered with both 16- inch and 17-inch alloy wheels.

As of now, we can only tell about the exterior as the interior has not been revealed yet. But, it is likely to offer some upmarket features such as Automatic High Beam (AHB), Lane Departure Alert (LDA), Pre-Collision System (PCS) and Road Sign Assist (RSA).

As far as the powermill is concerned, the current engine line-up is expected to be carried away in the upcoming Corolla model. The petrol version comes powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder VVT-i petrol unit that churns out 138bhp of power along with 173Nm of torque. On the other hand, the four-cylinder 1.4-litre diesel engine pumps out 88.4bhp of power and 205Nm of torque. Both the engines come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

As the reports suggest, the European-spec Toyota Corolla facelift will be manufactured in turkey itself . It is expected to be launched soon in the global market. It will arrive in India by next year. Post launch, it will be seen competing against prominent models in the D-segment such as Chevrolet Cruze , Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Jetta and Hyundai Elantra.
