The Japanese car maker Toyota is sniffing an improved demand in the MUV market in India and hence the company has launched its Hiace MUV Van at the Bus and Special Vehicle Show going at Greater Noida. The vehicle was earlier displayed at the Auto Expo 2014 in Delhi and now will be hitting the road soon near June 2015. It has been developed by keeping the customers in eyesight and its features says it all. For the interiors, the Van has many effective features like manual AC, power steering, window and sliding doors, reverse camera, ABS, engine immobilizer, dual front SRS airbags, foglight, 6-speaker audio system, and others as well.
Talking about the engine, the Van is powered by a 3.0 Litre 2,982 cc diesel engine, which is able to churn out 134 bhp power and 300 Nm of torque. The engine sends power its wheels using the 4-speed automatic transmission system. Toyota India's head official Mr. N. Raja also said that “the company had been continuously studying the market for customer preference and we are showcasing Hiace for our potential business customers.”
The launch date hasn't been confirmed by the company yet and so as the price, but it's expected to come out for sale in the 2nd half of the year 2015. However, the price remains under the wraps and we'll tell you that as soon as we get to it.
