Toyota’s latest MPV Innova Crysta has managed to register 20,000 bookings in India. The car has been popular since its first debut in the Indian Market. However, the car comes with a waiting period of 2-4 months, depending on the color and the variant. Also, the automaker is unable to market the product in the Delhi NCR due to the diesel ban imposed on the 2000cc diesel cars.
In India, Innova Crysta has been offered in two engine options- a 2.4 litre engine and a larger 2.8 litre power mill. The former is mated to a 5-speed manual, while the latter is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2.4-litre engine churns out a maximum power of 149PS and 343 Nm of torque, and the 2.8-litre motor propels 174PS and 360Nm of torque.
Looking to the diesel ban in some regions of India, Toyota India is planning to introduce a 2.7-litre petrol engine. Moreover, the company is not looking for any possibility of downsizing the diesel engines. The present model offers an array of value added features such as a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, a 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display. It also offers automatic climate control in the spacious cabin.
The Japanese Carmaker believe that the car will bring massive success to the company in the coming days. It comes with modern design pattern and best-in-class safety features.
