Triumph has Launched Thunderbird LT, Prices Inside

Here comes another amazing cruiser motorcycle from the British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph Motorcycles. The company has recently launched the all new Thunderbird LT in India. The newly launched motorcycle belongs to the Thunderbird cruiser family. Triumph has set-up a good market in India, as the company has sold out more than 800 units of motorcycles through 8 dealerships all across the country and the sale of the latest launched motorcycle will be commenced through its 9th dealership.

The Thunderbird LT, where LT stands for Light Touring, will get powered by a liquid-cooled, DOHC, parallel-twin engine with an engine displacement of 1699cc. The motor is coupled with a 6-speed transmission and the final belt drive is a toothed belt. The 1699cc engine impresses out a total power of 94BHP @ 5408 revs and 151Nm of peak torque @ 3550 revs. The newly launched cruiser motorcycle has carried a fuel-tank capacity of 21.9 Liters, which will easily take you over the long routes.

The recently launched motorcycle was completely based upon its predecessor, Thunderbird Commander; and was first showcased at the EICMA motorcycle show, which was held in 2013. The launching event of this motorcycle was held in Delhi. At the time of launching Triumph Thunderbird LT, Mr. Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director of Triumph Motorcycles says, "The last 10 months have been extraordinary for Triumph Motorcycles in India. The run has been nothing less than brilliant, with eight dealerships successfully selling over 835 motorcycles".

The Triumph Thunderbird LT is priced at Rs 15.75 Lakh (Ex-Showroom Delhi). On the safety front, the company has given ABS as standard incorporated with double disc brakes at the front and single disc brake at rear. The newly launched motorcycle will be bought as CBU kits in India, which has become the major reason for the high pricing of the motorcycle. Well, the Thunderbird LT's rivals are already present in the market, the Harley-Davidson team and one and only Indian Scout from Indian Motorcycles.
