Triumph Motorcycles has recently started spreading its wings in India. The company has been pretty busy with opening-up new dealerships in various big cities of India. Till today, the manufacturer has made its appearance in total 8 cities including Chennai, Pune, Bangalore, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kochi. The manufacturer is also planning to commence a new dealership in Kolkata very soon, the 9th showroom of Triumph Motorcycles in India.
The Triumph Motorcycles has entered India in the month of November, 2013. The company has come up with 10 motorcycles initially. The sports bike and cruiser motorcycle manufacturer has recently revealed that they have received total 600 bookings within the 8 months of the company's introduction in India. The initial 10 products introduced by the company include Classic, Roadsters, Adventure, Super sports and Cruiser motorcycles.
The company is not operating any manufacturing plant in India. The motorcycles will be coming towards India via the CKD assembly kits, which will get assembled after reaching the shores. The CKD kits for the motorcycles get assembled at the Haryana plant located in Manesar. The plant is producing Triumph Daytona, Bonneville, Thruxton, T100, Street and Speed Triple. While the remaining four i.e. the Thunderbird Strom, Mighty Rocket III, Tiger Explorer and Tiger 800XC are being imported from the manufacturing plant as a CBU.
However, at the time of launch and prior to that, the company didn’t carry this much huge fan list. But, clocking 600 bookings in the first 8 months of launch is really a great achievement and it also shows the increment in the fan list of Triumph Motorcycles. The number of bookings really matters when we know that the pricing of the motorcycle starts from 5.7 Lakh INR, which is the cost of Bonneville and it goes way high and reaches up to 20 Lakh INR for the Mighty Rocket III.
