VS Apache 160R and 180R are the most popular motorcycles from the TVS Motor that are known by their outstanding throttle response. As per the reports, the next generation model of Apache, christened as Apache 200, will be launched in the country in November this year. Based on Draken X21, the 200cc motorcycle has made its first debut at the 2014 Auto Expo, since then, the enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for its arrival in the Indian two-wheeler market. At the 23 Annual General Meeting, that was held in the previous month, Venu Srinivasan, Chairman of TVS Motor Company, stated that the company will launch the TVS Victor, TVS Apache 200 and a new four-stroke moped in next six months.
The next generation TVS Apache is believed to be powered by a single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor, carrying an engine displacement of 200cc. The fuel-injection motor will make it able to to churn out a maximum power of 25 BHP and 20 Nm of torque, while coupled with 6-speed transmission. The new Apache is likely to be ridden on the front telescopic forks and rear monoshock unit. On the safety front, the braking duties will be taken care by front and rear disc brake, while the dual-channel ABS as standard in the new Apache.

The motorcycle will stand on the same chassis as the Apache series, whereas, the Michelin tyers have been used for a dynamic gripping on the any kind road surfaces. In terms of design, the new Apache 200 borrows several design and body cues from the current models. Its further carries LED daytime running lights, well-cushioned split seat, low positioned handlebars, compact tail lamps and rear set foot pegs providing a comfortable ride to the rider. Featuring with a dynamic technical specifications, the new TVS Apache will compete with the rivals of the segment such as Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, KTM Duke 200 and forthcoming Hero HX250R.
