TVS, India’s third largest motorcycle manufacturer, is planning to launch the new Apache RR 310 by November 2017. Although nothing is confirmed by the company officially, it is in the air that the company will launch the bike around Auto Expo (Asia's largest and the world's second-largest motor show). Yet the bike continues on testing and spotted by many during the trial still there is no eclat about the launching date by the company so far.
The possibility is that the TVS may put the mirrors on the windscreen, make the rear tyre larger comparatively, and improve pillion handle grips. It is spied wearing Red colour camouflage instead of regular silver color for which the Apache test mule is known for.
The bike has embraced chassis, engine, wheels, brakes, exhaust, and suspension from the naked streetfighter BMW G310R (expected to launch in India by 2018). Apart from this, the bike is powered by a powerful 313 cc single-cylinder engine which is able to generate 34 HP of power and 28 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is accompanied with 6-speed transmission gearbox.
Most of the styling features will be sustained but the company can use light-weight aluminum on the bike to reduce the overall weight. TVS may offer dual-channel ABS as an option in flagship Apache but it is not yet confirmed by the company.
KTM RC 390 priced at INR 2.49 lakh with a 373.2 cc engine can be the rival for Apache RR 310S in the expected price range of INR 1.6 lakh to 1.8 lakh with a 313 cc engine.
