TVS Motor Company has introduced the Race Edition of the RTR 180 in existing Indian lineup. The company put the model on sale at the asking price of INR 83,233 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This special Race Edition comes painted in a Pearl White colour with race inspired graphics. Further, the motorcycle adorns a new 3D TVS logo and brand’s racing branded stickering on the rim. The body panels used on this RTR 180 Race Edition are made of carbon fibre on the fuel tank and on the sides as well. The bike furnishes a fully digital instrument console with a blue backlight. The availability of disc brakes at the front and at the rear are standard.
The instrument console offers the important information such as speed, revs, lap timing, service indication and recorded 0-60kmph speed.

In terms of powertrain, the 177.4cc single-cylinder engine performs the propelling duty on the motorcycle. Paired to a five-speed gearbox, the mill churns out the maximum power of 16.4 bhp at 8,500 rpm along with 15.5 Nm peak torque at 6,500 rpm.
As claimed by the company, the Apache RTR 180 comes with best in segment power-to-weight ratio. The motorcycle can easily complete 0-60kmph sprint in just 5 seconds. In terms of competition, the motorcycle will go against the Bajaj Pulsar 180 in the segment.
