A good news for all Apache fans. After upgrading TVS Apache from 150cc to 160cc and also introducing 180cc version, the bike fans were expecting that the company will launch 200cc or 250cc bikes. Though it never happened. But now, the company has brought a new concept bike, which will be launching in the coming year. TVS showcased its concept bike at the Indian Auto Expo, 2014 which was held in the month of February.
Now, the company is showcasing its Draken X21 concept publicly in some parts of Jakarta, Indonesia. The reason behind that is to pattern the public response. This Draken concept bike directly points out to the future direction of upcoming Apache.
The power plant of the bike features a single-cylinder, 4-Valve, liquid-cooled engine, mated with a 6-speed transmission which gives engine displacement of 250cc. This concept bike will pump out 38.5PS @ 12,000RPM and a maximum torque of 23Nm @ 9,500RPM. This torque power of this bike will be able to give tough competition to the other bikes of the same range. The braking system of this bike is managed by petal front disc brakes with 120mm at front and 160mm at the rear along with ABS.
The most appealing part of this motorcycle is its Off-Diction headlight design with LED and 'Bull-Horn' shaped tail lights along with blinkers. This concept bike has a fulminatory exhaust, below the engine, for which TVS claims that it is a reverse flow exhaust system. The other bizarre characteristics are offset monoshock suspension, meaty swing arm, its muscular fuel tank with attractive scoops and its active matrix digital instrument console.
Now, we will see what TVS Motors Company is actually bringing up for the Apache lovers. Whether it would be a new TVS Apache 250 or something else with 250 series bikes???
