TVS iQube, a hybrid scooter offering from Chennai based automaker is likely to expel in the Indian biking industry by the end of this year. For the first time, the iQube was showcased in front of the audience at the 2010 Auto Expo. According to the sources, one of the company’s ambitious projects, the iQube hybrid scooter could hit the production line anytime soon. As it appears, a good time to introduce such offerings. Since the company has already launched a host of most awaited projects like TVS Apache RR 310, TVS NTORQ 125 and Apache 160 4V, early this year.
Evidently, the iQube will retain the design and style cues as similar to the concept as possible. While we can expect the scooter painted in some bright colour options to offer an appealing look.
Mechanically, the propelling duties on the iQube hybrid will be handled by a packed 110cc petrol engine. It will be in conjunction with a hub mounted electric motor. The motor will be powered by provided two battery options of 150Wh and 500Wh.

TVS iQube hybrid’s mechanism is pretty interesting, you guys would love to know. When the scooter runs below 20km/hr, the electric motor supplies propelling power. Above that, the combustion engine takes the authority and these transitions are managed by providing economy and power riding modes.
Being a hybrid option, TVS iQube will get the FAME subsidy that will help in keeping the price competitive. The current FAME subsidy structure will expire on 30th September 2018. While the second phase is under consideration which is expected to offer with several better options for such vehicles.
