TVS Motor Company, after teasing from a quite long period, has finally launched its much anticipated flagship- Apache RTR 200 4V alongside the famous 2016 Victor. While the prominent Victor is an 110cc commuter priced at INR 49,490, the RTR 200 4V has been unveiled in a single carbueretted variant and carries a price tag of Rs. 88,990 (both ex-showroom, Delhi).
Inspired by the Draken Concept, Apache RTR 200 4V looks pretty impressive in terms of overall design and styling. The front end flaunts with sharp, edgy cuts, giving the naked Streetfighter a perfect aggressive look. The fuel tank has been widened, taken the concept right away from Draken. Side looks of the Tourer make one think of the discontinued Ducati 848. Powering the bike is a new 200cc, single cylinder oil-cooled engine that generates 20.21 BHP of power at 8500 RPM and 18.1 NM of peak torque at 7000 RPM mated to a five-speed gearbox. The company claims that it can cover 0-60 kmph in 3.9 seconds. Moreover, there is a dual-channel optional ABS and Pirelli tyres version, which will be launched later in the country.
Available color options of Apache RTR 200 are: Matte Black, Matte Gray, Matte White, Matte Red, Matte Yellow, Gloss White and Gloss Black.
When it comes to TVS Victor, the bike was first launched prior to a decade in 2001, but died in 2007 due to lack in sales figures. After teasing a lot on the official website, the brand has unveiled a revamped 110cc commuter Victor in India equipped with a 3-valve engine. It will be seated between Star City Plus and the Phoenix. Visually, the commuter blows off a fairly basic yet an eye-catching exterior, which undoubtedly makes it an elegantly desgined bike in the 110cc commuter segment.
Talking about the engine, the heart of the new Victor comprises of an 110cc, single-cylinder motor that yields a maximum of 9.6 BHP of power at 7,500 RPM and a peak torque of 9.4 NM at 6000 RPM. The engine delivers power via a four-speed transmission unit. Six Color options are there, including restful red, generous gray, blissful blue, black red, serene silver and beautific black silver. The bike will be available in two variants- first one with the drum brakes while the other variant will be having disc brakes. The latter is priced at Rs. 51,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
