Recently, the company had revealed its first ever electric motorcycle under the Project LiveWire. After the amazing response gained by the fan-followers of Harley-Davidson for its first electric motorcycle, two of its upcoming motorcycles have been spied, while their test rides at the same time. One is Harley-Davidson Freewheeler, a three-wheeler motorcycle and another one is Harley-Davidson Road Glide, a big brother of the Street Glide. It is expected that both the models will get launched in the coming year 2015.
Harley-Davidson Freewheeler Trike
This is the second three-wheeler motorcycle from the company which belongs to the Trike series. The motorcycle which was being spied during the test ride, appears pretty much different from the existing Tri-Glide Ultra. This motorcycle features similar looks from the Trike series at the rear and the front of the bike looks like the Fat Boy’s of Harley-Davidson.
Although, none of the specifications have been revealed yet, but it is expected that this upcoming motorcycle will make its official appearance at the end of this year, along with High Output Twin Cam 103 air-cooled motor. And, if we'll talk about the name, "FreeWheeler", in the year 2013, Harley-Davidson got the trademark for the 'FreeWheeler' term especially for its newly designed three-wheeler motorcycles. Eventually, it is believed that the upcoming three wheeler motorcycle is a blend of various other motorcycles from Harley-Davidson.
The company is planning to launch a new Road Glide under the project named "Project Rushmore". Over a year ago, when the company had revealed its Road Glide, they got an amazing response from its huge fan list. The engine of this upcoming motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 engine which is different from the other models under the same project.
This new model got upgraded with the ABS braking system at the front and the rear both, an improved fork and bigger wheels. The main attraction is its twin headlamps, which is covered with a huge mask along with a visor and infotainment. For this upcoming Road Glide, it is believed that it will also make its official appearance along with the FreeWheeler in the coming year, 2015.
