The new Maruti Suzuki Swift that is going to be launched soon in coming months, the unofficial bookings for the same has been started at selected dealerships. As considered, its launch will be in major launches this year. Well, the engine specs for the model is not revealed yet officially.
On a happy note, those who have booked the outgoing car and if in case the stocks run out. Their bookings will automatically be shifted to the imminent one. The facility is being offered at various locations. Also, the bookings for the 2018 Swift model is also on. Though, the token amount for the model is not fixed and could vary from place to place as the bookings are unofficial. If the sources are to be believed, the new Swift could hit the Indian tarmac anytime by the end of February or early in March.

The powering for the new Swift will come from the engine options available in the current models comprising a 1.2-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre diesel. Like its lately launched sedan sibling, the new Dzire will also get the automatic gearbox option. It is built on a lighter platform of Baleno that is around 10-15 percent lighter than the outgoing model. inside the cabin, the same all-black theme of the older model will be carried forward.
On the features that will be provided with this new model will encompass minimal dashboard from the international model, improved sportier steering wheel, and twin-pod instrument cluster. Whereas, the top end Swift variant is expected to get additional fittings such as a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. In terms of rivalry, the new Swift will be in competition with the likes of the Ford Figo and the Hyundai Grand i10. Assumptions are the Ford Figo can also observe some sorts of mid-cycle update in the coming future.
