Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar CS400 Renamed as VS400; Details Inboard

Till date, the most anticipating bike of the year- the Bajaj Pulsar CS400 was officially known as CS400. But, before the expected launch this month, the automaker has renamed it as Pulsar VS400. Now, this is a much noticeable change Bajaj has done so far as the bike was very popular among the enthusiasts by its former name. Besides that, the leaked details and brochure of the Pulsar CS400 (a.k.a VS400) have been heating up the two-wheeler market as well.

This new power cruiser, which is going to be called the Pulsar VS400 from now onwards may come anytime this month. If reports from ARAI are believed to be true, the upcoming offering will respire via a 373cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that will make the beast run at a max power of 34.5PS. The trim has been taken from the KTM Duke 390 and delivers 10PS less in VS400. Do not bother about the power output much as the bike is anticipated to render maximum potential that it can offer at its best. The engine will donate better low-end torque to attain smooth cruising.

The design, more or less, is similar to the concept model of the VS400, which was unveiled at the 2014 Auto Expo. For the first time ever on a Bajaj motorcycle, we shall see full LED headlight as well as tail light assembly along with side indicators. A dual instrument cluster displays the speedometer and a gear indicator has been placed on the belly. Other informative instruments like the tachometer, trip meter, and fuel gauge are being showcased on the all-digital unit, which is fixed between the handlebars. The traditional telescopic forks are going to be offered onto the bike instead of the upside down unit owing the keep the costs under budget. However, Pulsar VS400 will be blessed with dual-channel ABS and disc brakes at both the ends.
