Renault has recently teased a video of its upcoming saloon named Talisman. This upcoming model will be replacing Renault's Laguna model. Reportedly, this car will be unveiled on July, 6 and will arrive in the showrooms in the year 2016. Talisman will derive Certain design cues at the front end from Renault's next-generation model Megane. Moreover, the shape of new Talisman resembles to that of Volkswagen Passat and Mazda 6.
This upcoming model will be based on CMF architecture which has been developed jointly by Renault and Nissan. The video highlights some of the features like a finely chromed grille on the front end, sleek tail lamps, a head up display, two-tone alloy wheels, sculpted hood and a wood trimming in the interior.
Regarding the name 'Talisman', Renault says, it “conjures up notions of both protection and power. At the same time, Talisman is an easy word to pronounce and understand the world over.”
Nothing has been disclosed about the powertrain of this upcoming saloon by Renault. However, the cabin of this new Talisman is expected to carry modern and high-tech features like leather upholstery, touchscreen infotainment, traffic assistance system, adaptive cruise control, four-wheel steering, semi-auto self-parking assistance and various other safety features.
According to the market reports, Renault Talisman will be available for sale in Asian and European markets while customers in the U.K. and Ireland will not be able to avail this model. Claimed as a technologically innovative and sophisticated vehicle, the all new model is likely to be manufactured at Renault's production plant in France.
