The most famous auto show i.e. Delhi Auto Expo is all set to commence next month and various automakers have reserved their place at the event. Several automakers are going to display their respective offerings at the platform so as to gain a worldwide recognition and the same has been planned by Volkswagen. On Monday, the brand had announced that it will be introducing the much awaited compact sedan, new Tiguan as well as Passat GTE at the show, that is scheduled to go on from 5-9 February, 2016.
There isn't any information what it will be like, but reports suggest that Volkswagen has invested huge amount of money in the venture. It is rumoured to be named Ameo and is likely to be a sedan version of the Polo hatch. Mechanically, it could be offered in both petrol and diesel variant containing a 1.2 and 1.5 litre unit respectively.

The all new Tiguan had made its debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and it's slated to be launched at Indian shores sometime this year, post the auto show. It is based on MQB platform and measures 70 mm long, 30.5 mm wide along with a wheelbase of 76 mm. It also houses hi-tech amenities like 8-inch infotainment, panoramic sunroof, 4MOTION AWD and multiple airbags.
It will be an electric vehicle that will be powered by a 1.4 litre TSI petrol engine paired to an electric motor. Utilising a power output of 218 PS, the Passat GTE is able to cover a distance of 50 km using electricity and the overall range is measured at 1,000 km. This updated Passat has been officially confirmed to arrive in the Indian market soon.
