The special edition models of Volkswagen’s prominent hatchback and sedan models comprising the Polo Pace and Vento Sport has been introduced in Indian lineup. The Polo Pace is based on ongoing model’s mid-spec comfortline variant. Whereas the other follows sedan’s range-topping Highline Plus variant.
Priced at INR 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the VW Polo Pace is around INR 11k cheaper than the VW Polo Comfortline. The VW Polo Pace is the hatch with 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheel on the ongoing Comfortline variant. This similar alloy wheel has already been noticed on the anniversary edition of the Polo introduced last year.

In terms of power, the Polo Pace is being offered only with a single engine option. The brand new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine has superseded the 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder motor worked on the older Polo. Well, the new powertrain is lower in displacement though it expels power and torque output all similar to the last engine option.
The special edition Vento Sport now comes painted in an all-new colour scheme along with a host of visual upgrades.
The introduction of these special edition models for the hatch Polo and sedan Vento is part of brand’s strategy to boost up the sales of the models. Both of these newly introduced Polo Pace and the Vento Sport are developed on the MQB-AO IN platform specified for the Indian models. Furthermore, we can also witness the arrival of limited editions, facelifts and the next generation of other products available in Indian lineup.
