Volkswagen is a leading German car manufacturer which is the commanding major of many other giants of automobile industry. India welcomed this company few years back. The company has single SUV in India i.e. Touareg. Now they will be launching a new compact SUV which will share the same platform which is currently engaged in producing VW Jetta, Skoda Yeti and Audi A3. The new VW SUV is named as Tiguan.
Tiguan will be showcased in 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and its price will be accompanied by Jetta saloon. This SUV will be powered by petrol and diesel engines and both will mark their presence in India as well.The 1.4 liter TSI Petrol engine and 2.0 liter TDI Diesel engine will be pumping the veins of this car with 130 BHP of power in petrol and 140 BHP and 170 BHP of potency in Diesel. The vehicle will be available in a price range of Rs. 12 lakhs to Rs. 19 lakhs.
This is not the first time when this vehicle will be getting down on road. It has already made benchmarks with its sales in China, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Europe etc. Initially Tiguan will be imported in the form of CBU and later it will have its own manufacturing unit here as well.
