Volvo V40 to Receive T5 Drive-E Powertrain and AWD

Recently, Volvo has divulged its XC90 R-Design and now the company has claimed that the Volvo V40 model will come out with the latest powertrain updates. The motor will be arriving in the market very shortly alongside a T5 Drive-E engine as well as an all wheel drive system. The AWD technology gets the refreshed Derive-E T5 turbo petrol engine that comes from the Drive-E modular fuel mill family. The four cylinder mill will replace the five cylinder mill and it is expected to produce the splendid power of 245 PS at the place of 254 PS, while the 360 Nm of torque will be replaced by the 350 Nm of torque.

The combination of the Drive-E T5 engine with AWD will give adventurous customers the power to explore, and all the control they need to be confident in all road conditions.” The existing model is available with the six speed manual gearbox, but the upcoming model has the brand new eight speed autobox for manual gear shifting alongside the paddles on the steering wheels.
