The Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid has touched the Indian territory, though the official launch would take place in the second half this year. The Swedish automaker has introduced its flagship SUV, which is the first petrol version of the car in India.
Gaining two massive engines, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol motor and an electric motor supply power to the front wheels while the rear hoops get acceleration via another electric motor. The combined power of all the engines rush the T8 Hybrid at 420BHP and a smashing torque of 640NM. On a full charge of about 2.5 hours, the batteries for the electric mill can pull the car up to 30 kilo meters.
Apart from the aforementioned, Volvo is also planning to enhance its Indian product line-up with the launch of new S90 here in the country. If media reports turned out to be true, the launch will occur in coming months.
As we all are acquainted with the fact that Volvo's are known for their lavish outers as well as interiors, we can expect the same with the said model. Like most of the other Volvo cars, it will also be brought in the territory via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route and carry a price tag of approx INR 90 lakh (Ex-Showroom).
