Recently, an official announcement has been made by Volkswagen regarding the confirmation for an upcoming hypercar that will be introduced as the Bugatti Veyron successor. This most awaited vehicle is still to be named and currently, its conceptual model is in the first stage of designing, which is likely to be prepared by the end of next year. Just like the Veyron, this unnamed hypercar will also be based on the lightweight carbon fibre monocoque chassis, including a mid engined layout. Power will come from the same 8.0 litre W16 quad turbo engine, but this time it will be highly tweaked to bestow an incredible performance on the way.
In a complete hybrid mode, the car is anticipated to kick out an astonishing power of 1500 hp that is quite surprising. This pumped out power will be distributed equally to the all four wheels of the latest hypercar, which would help in marking a maximum speed of 100 km/h in only 2 seconds ahead of achieving a top speed of 460 km/h. If the reports are to be believed, then Bugatti is also aiming to bring a regular variant of this hypercar in only petrol mill.
In spite of having an electric motor, its overall weight will be lighter than the existing Veyron. There were anticipations that it will be known as Chiron, but still its name has not been confirmed by the company. Bugatti will launch this performance oriented model in just 450 units and will make its appearance in the automobile market early 2017.
Well, the other hybrid hypercars, such as Ferrari LaFerrari, Porsche 918 and the McLaren P1 should get ready to take a dreadful challenge from this forthcoming Bugatti car.
