The Japanese two-wheeler maker comes all of a sudden with a brand new scooter carrying an attractive name as well. The Yamaha Motor India has launched its amazingly designed brand new scooter over the Indian tarmac, which is christened as Yamaha Fascino. Few days back, the firm has released a teaser image of the newly launched scooter showcasing the front grille along with a tagline which says, "Prepare to be fascinated". Following the launch of the commuter segment motorcycle; Yamaha Saluto, the firm has come-up with a brand new scooter in the similar segment.
The launching ceremony of the Yamaha Fascino took place in the Mumbai, Maharashtra. The scooter is a perfect combination of Italian touch over Japanese performance. The Yamaha boffins have paid special attention to grant this scooter with an ultimate wave shape. It is enriched with a rich-in-class modern retro design. The front apron is decorated with chrome grille escorted with Yamaha logo, eye-shaped blinkers and newly fabricated headlamp. The little bit of chrome touch perfectly suits the retro style acquired by the Yamaha Fascino.
Mechanically, the Yamaha Fascino is powered by a single-cylinder, SOHC, 4-stroke motor carrying an engine displacement of 113cc. The liquid-cooled motor is tuned to churn out a total of 7 BHP @ 7500 RPM and achieves a peak torque of 8.1 Nm @ 5000 RPM. The 113cc displaced engine is mated to a CVT gearbox and on the top of everything; it is also accompanied with company's patent Blue Core Technology. The company claimed mileage of the Yamaha Fascino is 66 KMPL.
Being an entry level scooter in the commuter segment, it weighs only 103 Kg carrying a fuel tank capacity of 5.2 liters. The Yamaha Fascino is built around an Underbone type frame, which is further incorporated with Telescopic front forks and single-unit of rear swingarm. The stopping power has been provided by drum brakes on both front and rear end. The remaining eye-candy features are the 3D badge of "Fascino" over the side panels, all-white background instrument console and curvaceous headlamp.
Initially, the firm is offering five attractive paint scheme options for the Yamaha Fascino; Sassy Cyan, Haute White, Rouge Red, Cool Cobalt and Tuxedo Black. The Yamaha Fascino will soon be making its appearance in the dealerships across the country carrying an attractive price tag of Rs 52,500 (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
