Yamaha Motors India has launched a new Saluto RX commuter bike in Delhi, priced at Rs 46400 ex-showroom. The company's main target is to attract the semi-urban and metropolitan audience. The firm has claimed it gives best mileage in this 110cc segment at an affordable price. Earlier,the Japanese bike maker has introduced an another entry level commuter bike named as Crux which fails to attract attention of the audience. hence, the company has discontinue Crux from the market. Now the company has come up with its all new Saluto RX, which is the most affordable commuter bike in Yamaha's Indian portfolio.

The Yamaha Saluto RX looks very similar to its 125cc sibling, which shares a few design elements like smooth body line and 10 spoke alloy-wheels. In terms of mechanical aspects, Saluto RX is powered by a new 110cc single cylinder, 4-stroke, air cooled engine which churns out 7.5 PS of power at 7000 RPM and 8.5 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM and mated to a 4 speed transmission. The bike comes with the BlueCore technology which enhance the mileage and performance of the bike. The company claims the healthy mileage figure of 82 kmpl and the bike is very lightweight and it is approximately 22 kg lighter than its sibling and ticks at 98 Kg on weighing scale .

The bike provides excellent suspension setup which comprises telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks. It gets drum brake at the both end whereas, an analog instrument cluster will give the important information to the rider. Yamaha Saluto has been landed in the Indian market with four striking shades of Black, Blue, Matte Black and Red. Certainly, it will rivals with the other available commuter bike which have Hero Passion Pro, Mahindra Centuro, Honda CD 110 Dream and TVS Victor.
