Yamaha Might bring MWT-9 Based Three Wheeler by 2018

Yamaha, while it’s annual report presentation revealed the possibility of a new vehicle category in the upcoming years. And from the inner sources of the yamaha, we can make us believe that the approaching new vehicle category will be a three wheeler motorcycle which will be the production version of the MWT-9 concept.

The Japanese giant’s annual report says,‘We will proactively launch distinctive new products that convey Yamaha’s strong brand power.’ Here at the Question & Answers session,Yamaha’s President and CEO Hiroyuki Yanagi has throw light on the firm’s future direction where he gave an indication by saying, we will see the MWT-9 by 2018 at the latest.

Further, he added, Yamaha MWT-9 will join and extend the three wheeler line up with the already available Tricity in the market. And it will uses the same MT-09 engine with some tweaks which will help the three wheeled vehicle in its performance. The front two wheels with lean will help up to take MWT-9 on kind of terrain altogether by offering great cornering performance.

As per the annual reports, Yamaha has 270 models which were introduced in future. For its traditional bikes plan is extend its model line up by keeping continue its successful platform with existing engine and chassis segment.

So we can witnessed a number of prototypes of the planned project by the automaker as moving towards the end of the year. While the introduction with the MWT-9 is expected to happen after two years by 2018.
