Yamaha's new adventure tourer is no more in disguise. The MT-07 Tenere has been spotted performing its test rounds in Italy. Rumours have been there since quite a long time that the company is working on a middle-weight bike, but no material information was there about the same.
The spied model has got black livery, perhaps hiding the production ready model below it. The non-adjustable visor looks completed as well. Though, the exposure of the subframe makes us believe that the Japanese giant is still carrying out works for the panniers section, which is to be there in this adventure machine.

The suspension configuration seems to be fresh, getting a swingarm on the rear end. The 21-inch spoke wheels up front while an 18-inch at the rear were spied on the bike. Anticipate off-road tyres only after the launch takes place. On an impressive note, Yamaha has equipped Brembo brakes this time and skipped the Nissan brakes, which they use on its huge motorcycles. The prototype discards the ABS unit, but the production version will definitely pack it to meet the Euro 4 norms.
Coming over to the powertrain, the motor resembles the same as we found on the naked MT-07. Nevertheless, the automaker may re-touch it to persist its adventure tourer profile i.e. to keep it low-mid torque output range. The MT-07 sports 689cc, parallel-twin engine that is allowed to deliver 75BHP of British Horsepower and 67NM of torque. Well, we do hope that the official unveil takes place in early 2017, following the worldwide announcement next to next year.
