The Japanese two-wheeler giant has uncovered the secrets of its much-awaited bike, MT-03 by releasing the official pictures and specifications. The number of Indonesian websites claims that it to be the naked avatar of the well-famed faired Yamaha R25 and YZF-R3. Thus, the recently unveiled Yamaha MT-25, which is the naked version of Yamaha YZF-R25, has borrowed several components with the entry-level sports motorcycles. Both the motorcycles, MT-03 and MT-25, share the same mechanical as well as technical specifications. Furthermore, Yamaha has not yet given any green signal to the India two-wheeler market, but when it does arrive in India, this may cost around Rs 3 lakh.
The motorcycle is powered by the 321cc, four-stroke liquid-cooled DOHC parallel-twin engine. The fuel injection equipped motor make it able to deliver 41.6 BHP of power at 10,750 and 30Nm of torque at 9,000 RPM, the engine is mated to a six-speed transmission. The motorcycle has losses its weight by removing the fairing and few other components, roughly, the motorcycle is 9lbs (4KG) lighter than Yamaha YZF-R3, that is why it is good for 41 BHP.

The Yamaha MT-03 built around on diamond-type steel frame that sits on a rear swing arm and front telescopic suspension. The front gets an 110/70-17 tubeless tyre, while the rear has 140/70-17 tubeless tyre. The braking performance is also good as the MT-03 is featured with a front two-piston caliper, 298mm disc brake and rear single-piston 220mm disc brake.
