Star Motorcycles, the American division of Yamaha Motors Corporation has disclosed the specifications of its upcoming cruiser bikes. After introducing Bolt and Bolt R last year, Yamaha has surprised everyone by exposing the specifications of Bolt and Bolt R Spec, the "Performance Bobber" cruiser bikes which they are going to release in the year 2015. The unheard American brand, Star Motorcycles has been manufacturing cruiser bikes for so long.
Specifications of Bolt and Bolt R Spec
The best part of these bikes are that it doesn't have Chrome embellishment and apart from that the owner of the bike can have their own choice of bike, as they will be having an option for customization. Both the upcoming models of Yamaha are being powered by SOHC air-cooled, V-Twin engine, which are mounted in a double cradle frame, giving an engine displacement of 942cc. The engine is mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. The maximum torque would be 80Nm. The company also claims that the motorcycle will give 23Kmpl of fuel efficiency for both the bikes.
Design
The Bolts are designed in such a way that we could call it a cruiser bike, but it will be able to give you both, motorcycle and sports bike dexterity. The braking system of the bike is provided by a 298mm of wave-type disc at the front and rear. Some of the new components have been added to their upgraded versions like new digital speedometer, a suede seat texture with colored stitching, remote reservoir shocks and the R edition also gets new paint and graphics.
The Bolt and Bolt R motorcycles came up with two more colors, Bolt will be introduced with Candy Red and Glacier Blue colors and Bolt R will get Matter Silver and Raven Black. An optional graphic will also be offered to the owners like racing strips or pinstripes. The new Yamaha 2015 Bolt is priced at $7,990 and Bolt R Spec costs $ 8,390.
