Yamaha has released an official teaser of new YZF-R15 V3 version. The upcoming draws inspiration from brand’s flagship, the YZF-M1, a MotoGP offering.
The YZF-R15 V3 MotoGP Edition will be draped in dual tone livery of blue and black colour scheme. Along with the Movistar and ENEOS logos which manifest the exterior of the sports tourer. The mentioned brands belong to a telecommunication and petroleum industry respectively and are in partnership with the Japanese bike maker since long. Other than this, there is a affixation of Yamalube logo on the side fairing.
Behind the fairing, the R15 V3 MotoGP edition will continue with the powertrain of the regular model. The 155cc, single-cylinder engine is rated to churn out 18.7bhp and 15Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper and assist clutch. The presence of variable valve actuation (VVA) technology offers outstanding performance throughout the rev range.
It is a special edition model so it is highly expected to be produced in limit counts. While for the pricing, we can see a premium price tag over the standard bike that is available on sale at INR 1.26 lakhs. The Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0 MotoGP edition is likely to hit Indian market in coming weeks.
