Canon has launched a new digital compact camera in India - Canon EOS M100 that comes with a 24.2-megapixel sensor and Dual Pixel Autofocus system. It has a 3-inch display, which can be flipped up to 180-degrees for taking selfies. The Canon EOS M100 is priced in India at Rs 39,995 and was originally launched in August at a retail price of $599.99 (Approx. Rs 40,700) with the EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens. Along with this, the Canon India has also launched its TS-E series lenses in the country. The TS-E50mm f/2.8L Macro, the TS-E90mm f/2.8L Macro, and the TS-E135mm f/4L Macro are priced at Rs. 1,72,995. While the EF85mm f/1.4L USM comes at Rs 1,17,995, the Macro Twin Lite MT-26EX-RT will cost you Rs 64,999.
It must be noted that the Canon EOS M100 is an upgrade to its EOS M10 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera but has kept the compact form factor. The new camera will be made available in Black and White color options. The Canon EOS M100 comes with a higher resolution image sensor, better autofocus, and improved video capabilities. It features a 24.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor and Canon DIGIC 7 image processor. The camera allows you to shoot 4fps burst photos and up to 6.1fps with a fixed focus. Users can also record full HD (1080p) videos at 60fps. It uses Canon's Dual Pixel autofocus system for faster focus shifting during video recording.

The new camera comes with an ISO range of 100-25,600. It has been equipped with a 3-inch touchscreen which can be rotated up to 180-degrees. Other features included in it are - camera RAW conversion, self-portrait mode, and various creative filters. The connectivity options on the camera include built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC. The new Canon EOS M100 is aimed at users looking to up their photography and is a great option for travel and photography enthusiasts.
