Acer has just brought two new Chromebooks at Florida Education Technology Conference and has given a new definition to the tech world by announcing them for students. Company has thought to gift today’s students something rugged devices to operate in school environment. Generally, a laptop can survive in such bumpy environment. But, Acer has just proved it wrong and designed two Chromebooks - C910 and C740.
Both of these devices are designed to endure the bumps and falls. They have been designed to bear upto 132 pounds of force, and falls from upto 18 inches. Covers, hinges, and corners, all have durability in nature. However, they are ruggedized in built, but very benign in nature.

The Acer C740 has 11.6-inch anti-glare display while the C910 flaunts a 15.6-inch anti-glare screen. You have two options – the high-end 1920 x 1080p resolution and the affordable 1366 x 768p resolution screen. Both devices run on Intel’s Broadwell based Core i3 or Celeron processors.
Acer is giving these devices 2GB or 4GB RAM options. Acer C740 has both RAM configurations while the C910 comes in 4GB RAM model with choices of 16GB or 32GB built-in memory. On the other side, the 11.6-inch Chromebook has 16GB solid-state drive and this device will need $260 from your wallet. Pay few more bucks and make the C910 yours at $279. Both run on Chrome OS as obvious.
Both have capacity to deliver 9 hours of battery backup. On connectivity sides, they have 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB ports, HDMI, and a SD card reader. Both devices will hit the market to lure students in February.
