To revolutionize the populous segment of tablets, Jolla has announced its brand-new device that is designated as Jolla Tablet. The arrival of Sailfish 2.0 OS-based handheld on the 19th of November has given the credibility to that surfaced teaser poster, which was appended with a tagline “something big is about to begin”.
Digging out the specs of this state-of-the-art device, which is arrayed with a speedy 1.8GHz quad-core 64-bit Intel processor to perform multiple tasks efficiently. The incorporation of 7.85-inch display with a vivid pixel resolution of 2048x1536 and pixel density of 330 ppi makes it a strong competitor of feature-rich: Nexus 9.
Here, the most captivating part is its operating system: Sailfish 2.0 version with gesture-based interface that manifests itself to confer a pleasant user-experience. The tab is clubbed with a 4300mAh non-removable battery, which seems capable to deliver a sufficient lifespan for internet browsing as well as for game junkies'. Glancing at imaging, it is outfitted with a 5-megapixel rear shooter along with a 2-megapixel selfie snapper.
In terms of memory, it comprises 2GB of RAM to run various apps flawlessly. Additionally, gadget incorporates 32GB of built-in storage alongside a maximum storage capacity of 64GB. Moreover, handheld is decked with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Micro-USB and GPS connectivity options. Rest of the specs include, accelerometer, proximity and light sensors.
However, gadget has been launched with a crowdfunding project, where folks will have to fund it for the production. In particular, the campaign is now up via a website, called Indiegogo with company's target of $380,000. As per Jolla, this ultramodern device will be rolled out by May 2015 with an initial price tag of $189 that is approximately Rs. 11,500.
