The only buzzed movie that released this weekend is Bewakoofiyan, starring Ayushmann Khurrana Sonam Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor. Nupur Asthana has directed the movie which is written by Habib Faisal and under the shelter of Yashraj banner and UTV Movies.
Story of the movie rotates around young urban couple Mohit Chadda (Ayushmann Khurrana) and his girlfriend Mayera Sehgal (Sonam Kappoor). Mohit is young urban guy works in MNC as an Executive Manager. He is passionately in love with Mayera, who is banker and loves branded clothes, shoes and Rock Concerts. This shows that she is basically a high maintenance girlfriend.
Things changes when Mohit suddenly got fired from his company due to recession and the couple faces hard economic time, here comes the V. K. Sehgal (Rishi Kapoor) who is retired IAS officer and father of Mayera. The father wants her daughter to marry a Rich brat, who can fulfill her every shopping need and middle class desires. He also believes that a good game of Squash can lead you to the happy marriage life.
Movie has lack of comic instances but got humourous in some instances, especially when V.k.sehgal digs and investigates Mohit's income tax returns, traffic fines and all other documentations, so he can reject him for her daughter. The first half of the film is quite fast and humourous as it shows their love relationship and Sonam Kapoor in two piece bikini, while second half is surrounded with lack in pace and catchy moments.
Ayushmann Khuranna, who has stunned viewers with his performance in Vicky Donor is not able to impress this time, you can't expect much from Sonam Kapoor but this time Rishi Kapoor also did flat performance.
Finally, if summarizes the movie then it is 'thak thik' movie, if you don't have anything to do this weekend then you may go. Rating of the film is 2.5 out of 5.
