Flipkart Big Billion Days Sale: Best Smartphone Deals

Flipkart is hosting the ‘Big Billion Days’ sale on its platform from October 2 to October 6. The e-commerce website claims to have sold over half a million products within one hour on Day 1 of the sale. Flipkart has dedicated the first three days of the sale to individual categories and the last two days will have everything on sale. For example, Day 1 was dedicated to Fashion, Home, TV, and Appliances. Day 2 and Day 3 will see Mobiles and Accessories and Electronics going on sale respectively.

Flipkart has pretty good deals when it comes to gadgets and smartphones. Some are even exclusive to the site. For example, Apple iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 and Apple Watch and seem to be cheapest on Flipkart till now. Then there’s Samsung Galaxy On8 and Nextbit Robin smartphone, which can be bought at cheaper prices on Flipkart. Let us take a look at the greatest deals Flipkart is offering on smartphones and gadgets:-

Apple iPhone 6: Apple iPhone 6 (16GB) gets a discount of 18 per cent and is available at Rs 29,990 on Flipkart. There’s also an exchange discount offer of up to Rs 17,000 on iPhone 6. The Silver color variant of iPhone 6 was out of stock when we visited the site today. Worth every penny you spend on it. However, Space Grey color variant is still up for sale. While Apple did announce price cuts for some of its earlier iPhone models; they were restricted to high-end storage versions only. The 16GB version of iPhone 6 isn’t a bad deal right now if you don’t want to spend a bomb on the new iPhone 7.

Apple iPhone 6s: Apple iPhone 6s (64GB) can now be bought at Rs 37,990 on Flipkart. Flipkart is offering the highest discount on iPhone 6s as compared to other shopping portals conducting festive sales. Apple iPhone 6s Rose Gold color option is currently sold out, but register with your mail id and Flipkart should notify you when it's back for sale. Apple Watch Sports 42mm Space Grey: Flipkart is also offering a great deal on Apple Watches as well. The 42mm Space Grey sports edition gets 33 percent discount and is now available at Rs 19,900. If you aren’t willing to spend a huge sum on the new Apple Watch Series 2, the first generation Apple Watch is a good bet right now.

Samsung Galaxy On8: Samsung Galaxy On8 is Flipkart exclusive, and was launched on the e-commerce site on October 2. The smartphone can be bought at Rs 14,900 during Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale. The new Galaxy On8 features a 5.5-inch Full HD super AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor that comes with 3GB RAM and 16GB storage. The primary camera on the device is 13MP, and the front camera is 5MP.

Xiaomi Mi 5: Xiaomi Mi5 is one of the best deals of Flipkart right now, which is available at Rs 19,999. The smartphone was originally priced at Rs 24,999; before the company announced a price cut of Rs 2,000 on it a few days ago. Nevertheless, Rs 19,999 still looks like a great buy considering Mi 5 is company’s 2016 flagship device for India. Plus, there’s an exchange offer of up to Rs 18,300 on Flipkart for Mi 5. Xiaomi Mi 5 has a 5.12-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM+32GB and a 16MP rear camera with 4-axis OIS and a 5MP front camera. The battery is 3,000 mAh. In our review, the Mi 5 was a pretty fast performer and has already topped benchmark scores. The camera also works really well in daylight, though we did face issues with focusing on objects at times. What we liked about the Mi 5 was its beautiful design, the lightweight body coupled with a really vivid and crisp display.

Nextbit Robin: Nextbit Robin, a cloud-based Android smartphone, is down from its original price of Rs 19,999 to Rs 14,999. Nextbit Robin features a 5.2-inch touchscreen display (1080 pixels by 1920 pixels). The smartphone is powered by 2GHz hexacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. Additionally, it comes with 100GB of cloud storage. Nextbit Robin has dual front speakers, a fingerprint sensor. Nextbit Robin packs a 13MP primary camera and 5MP front shooter. In our review of Nextbit Robin, we noted it is a decent device that looks and works a bit differently from most other phones in the market. The Robin has one innovative and unique feature: this phone will not run out of space.
