India is ready to compete with U.S. for its spending on election campaign which will hold in April. It is expected to reach around 300 billion Rupees. Politicians are throwing Indian public's mammon as water. India will become second country who will spend large amount of sum for election campaigning after U.S. presidential campaign.

The budgeted amount for Lok Sabha Election 2014 campaigning is three times higher than National Poll 2009 expenditure. India election campaigning has added the amount in form of cash, filled in envelops and also include multi million dollars for ad-campaigning. This estimated amount of spending shows by the Centre for Media Studies.

This expenditure for election campaign may encourage the economy of India to go nasty. National Poll 2009 had only a reflection of this high campaigning which is presented by Lok sabha Elections 2014’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

N Bhaskara Rao, chairman of the Centre for Media Studies said, "They started much before, and they are also focusing on states where they are traditionally not strong. They are leaving no area untouched."

According to rules, parliament candidates can spend 7 million Rupees for campaigning but at present, the amount of spending has been exceeded ten times from 7 million. Lok Sabha Elections 2014 begins on April 7, which was declared last week.
