Railways brings a mobile app for Passengers to track the trains running status

Indian Railways is now providing an application which lets you to enquire train's position including running status of the train on your mobile device. Till now, the facility of checking the running status and position of a train was available only on web. Sometimes, it increases irritation of public when server goes down or if people use the service when they move somewhere. Centre for Railway Information Systems has finally come with an app to reduce the irritation and problem of passengers.

The app will allow you to make any kind of enquiry regarding any train which includes train timings, train position, train running status etc. on real time basis. National Train Enquiry System will provide all details regarding the train. CRIS announced the app on Wednesday, 23 April 2014. The application has been introduced for mobiles which run on Windows Phone 8 platform. Its "Spot your train" option enable passengers to check the train's current status, running status, expected departure time and arrival time. This app will also have the feature of asking query on canceled train.
