Premature Birth of Baby may increase Asthma

Have you ever met with premature delivery problem? Have your baby suffered from premature birth? Then it may cause Asthma in your baby. World Health Organization reported that every year 15 million babies have premature birth. This may increase the risk of Asthma in children.

Maximum times, a premature baby has been suffering from breathing problems, reason being they have immature lungs. Survey was taken from 6 continents and it shows that 13.7 percent premature babies have increased Asthma problem while 8.3 percent normal babies have suffered from the disease.

The report says, "Children born very early - before 32 weeks gestation - had approximately three times the risk of developing asthma/wheezing disorders compared with babies born at term."

What is Asthma?

Asthma is a disease of human respiratory airways in which suffering person find problems in taking breath. Symptoms of the disease are coughing, wheezing and shorten breath. People who has this disease called as Asthmatic. This disease swallows the inside walls of airways. When the symptoms of Asthma get worst then it changes into Asthma Attack. It can’t allow much air to carry into lungs.
