The Global Gems and Jewellery Fair (GGJF) to be held from March 20 to 22, 2014 is going to be hosted for the first time by Dubai Multi Commodity Center (DMCC) and Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India in Dubai, at Atlantis.
International buyers and sellers who seek to merchandise their best quality gemstones and couture jewels will be provided with an ideal platform from the GGJF. About 130 Indian exhibitors are also participating in this fair.
During the press conference in the tallest commercial tower of Middle East i.e. Almas Tower, DMCC executive Chairman Ahmad Bin Sulayem asked for the opportunities to conciliation relation with strong trading partners like India.
Visitors for the fair come across the world including Egypt, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Singapore, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Malaysia etc. Vice Chairman, GJEPC said that India is the sourcing centre stone jewellery and diamonds is renowned worldwide.
India is World leader in production of polished diamonds, tanzanite, and emeralds. Approx 95 percent diamonds cut and polished in India.
