Acer, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturing firm on the very first day of the MWC2016 event has launched the new Liquid Zade flagship smartphone, known as Liquid Jade 2, alongside revealed Liquid Zest series smartphones, the Liquid Zest and Liquid Zest 4G.
However, the company has not announced the pricing or availability details of the Acer Liquid jade 2 smartphone. But it is confirmed that the Acer Liquid Zest will be available in EMEA in April at a starting price of EUR 109 (approximately Rs. 8,250) and the Acer Liquid zest 4G will go on sale in EMEA regions starting from May, priced at EUR 149 (approximately Rs. 11,250).
The Acer Liquid Jade 2 is featuring a 5.5-inch full HJD AMOLED display having a resolution of 1080*1920 pixels with a176-degree viewing angles. The handset sports Corning Gorilla Glass and arrives with Zero Air Gap technology, which the company claims will help in improved readability under sunlight. The device is powered by a hexacore Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB RAM. It houses a 32GB of inbuilt storage, that can be further expandable via microSD card slot expansion. hybrid storage, which integrates The main USP of the device is it supports up to 1TB hybrid storage, which integrates local storage with cloud storage.
At the photography department, the Liquid Jade 2 incorporates 21-megapixel camera at the rear end with f/2.2 aperture with dual LED flash and 4K video recording support. It also bears an 8-megapixel front facing camera with 84-degree wide angle and also supports a "Pause N Shoot" selfie mode, which detects face automatically and starts a countdown of three seconds for taking shots. For the connectivity, it includes 4G LTE Cat.6 apart from 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/a.
The smartphone features a DTS Headphone, X technology for surround sound experience with any pair of headphones, according to Acer. The new Jade series smartphone from Asus packs USB Type-C port.
On the other hand, the Liquid Zest features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 720*1280 pixels and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box with DTS Sound Studio, which the company claims "higher vocal clarity and more natural details while on the move."
On the camera front, the smartphone packs an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front facing camera.
The only difference between the Acer Liquid Zest 4G and its 3G variant, the 4G variant is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor and packs with DTS HD premium Sound technology. Both the handsets come pre-installed with Acer GameZone.
