As promised by Asus in August last year, the mobile maker on January 29 released Android 8.0 Oreo software update for its ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) and ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL) smartphones. The same was confirmed on the company's official forum ZenTalk. Several new features and modifications to the system UI are expected from the update. The update with version 15.0410.1712.31 brings in several of Android Oreo's core software features to the phones.

The UI gets a makeover with improved settings and new modified app icons. Users will no longer be able to use apps like Minimovie, Photo Collage, and Do It Later. Besides users can now use core Oreo features like adaptive icons, Autofill, Smart text selection, Picture-in-Picture, Background limits, and a redesigned emoji library.

ZenFone 3 (ZE552KL) edges out ZenFone 3 (ZE520KL) in Power, Performance and Storage. To install the update with version 15.0410.1712.31 users need to follow below steps. Go To Settings > About > System Update.
