Android One to Make Debut in October for Indian Market

The most talked Android One smartphone is all set to launch in India with a low price tag. The phone will be reached in Indian market this year in October. It was announced first in Google I/O 2014 where the company declared that Android One will be reached first in India. To provide this handset in India, Google has plans to expand its market in India. Company is expected to reach at the target of 5 billion users with this smartphone.

The device will bless users with the option of updating it directly from Google. Manufacturer would also have the option of loading their own apps in the device. There is one report about the Android One platform which tells that Micromax would be the first maker in the line who will bring Android One device, priced around $100.

It is also expected that it will be sold via Flipkart exclusively. Pichai had announced while introducing Android One in Google I/O that it will get a 4.5 inch display and will come with dual SIM support. As per the conference announcement, it will come with Play Auto Installs app which let users decide which app will be useful for users’ phone or which will be not.

Google is working with MediaTek for providing its chipset in Android One platform. It has also made tie-up with some domestic mobile makers like Spice, Karbonn, Intex and Celkon to introduce its devices in India. Google also has plans to invest around 100 crores in marketing and advertising of the product in India. It is also said to come at the time of Diwali occasion. As per the report, Senior VP of Google Android, Sundar Pichai would be visited India later and then further details regarding Android One will be cleared.
