September is just a week away and Apple has yet not revealed any details about the upcoming iPhone 8. If the company follows its previous launch tradition, then the iPhone 8, iPhone 7s, and iPhone 7s Plus will be unveiled by mid-September. According to a Mac4Ever report citing carrier sources, Apple is likely to host the iPhone 8 launch event soon. The report also provides some insight about the possible storage variants of the OLED Smartphone and has claimed that the iPhone 8 will come in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options.
According to a separate report by Techtastic citing a Chinese tipster GeekBar, has also claimed that the iPhone 8 will be launched in three storage variants 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB. While the former two have been leaked earlier, the 512GB storage variant seems to be a welcome information. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also tipped that the iPhone 8 will be launched in 64GB and 256GB variants.

Apple will be sourcing the 64GB and 256GB NAND chips from Toshiba and SanDisk, while the 512GB will be sourced from Samsung and Hynix. This bump in storage is a welcome addition for those users who consider storing 4K content, which is becoming increasingly popular. Apart from this the upcoming iPhone 8 will have new AR and 3D sensing features that will demand more storage.
According to the report, Apple will host the iPhone 8 launch event on September 12. The report also claims that all the sources have already been informed about launch details and have been asked to start preparing for marketing of these Apple devices and maintaining the inventory.
While nothing official has been announced regarding the launch date of the upcoming iPhones. But, if these leaks turn out to be true, then the three iPhones will go on pre-order from September 15. This presumption is based on the previous launch pattern followed by Apple.
Additionally, the iPhone 8 is expected to come with an OLED bezel-less panel, wireless charging, no home button, a vertical dual camera setup with AR capabilities, facial recognition, better waterproofing, and 3x Retina HD display which should lead to an increase in app installation sizes.
