Archos has now come up with another Android smartphone dubbed as 50 Saphir. The new smartphone will be made available in Europe in October starting priced at EUR 99 (Rs 7,500 approx).
The handset is a supposed to be a complete rough and tough device. The main highlighting feature of handset is its high water resistant technology. It is IP68-certified, which makes its capable to survive in up to 1 meter of water level for approx 30 mins. According to the company, it can bear a fall of from one meter easily.
Specifications of the handset includes, a 5-inch IPS display of resolution 720X1280 pixels and is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK 6737 processor with 2GB RAM. The Dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and includes 16GB of inbuilt storage which can be further expanded upto 128GB via microSD card.
The GSM-handset is packed with a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p recording. A 5-megapixel front shooter is also provided by the company for shooting selfies. Backed up with a battery of 5000mAh non-removable battery, the device is capable of running up to 2 days on one full charge.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi Direct, USB OTG, LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack and FM radio. The latest smartphone comes with light and proximity sensors and is only available in Black colour variant. The company has not given any word over the international availability of this model.
