Taiwan-based company Asus is known for developing affordable smartphones in the country with features in rival to high-end smartphones. Two years back in the month of January the company launched its first smartphone in the Zenfone category dubbed as Asus Zenfone 5. It was a Dual-SIM variant that became an instant hit among the smartphone lovers. Now latest reports indicate that the company has again launched another affordable smartphone in the market dubbed the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser under INR 10,000.
It features a high-definition (HD) 1280 x 720 resolution display and comes preloaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS along with 16GB of internal storage capacity. It is accompanied by 5GB of Asus web storage capacity as well. It is a Dual-SIM, 4G LTE smartphone powered by a Qualcomm 64-bit Quad Core Snapdragon 410 processor and the company has given 4 different color variants to its users to choose from namely: pure black, ceramic white, glamour red, and sheer gold. The presence of anti-scratch Corning Gorilla Glass 4 in the phone makes it pretty durable.
The ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser, is a phone that is powered by a 3000 mAh Li-Polymer removable battery, that has a standby time of 28.41 days, provides a talk time of 32.97 hours, web browsing of 17.43 hours or video viewing of up to 13.91 hours. The ability to charge the phone at such a fast pace means that it gets charged to 60-70 percent of its battery life in less than one hour and this ability can make this phone a top favourite among those users who are always looking for a smartphone with the best battery backup.
In terms of photography, it comes with a 5MP front camera and a 13MP rear camera with a laser-assisted autofocus that allows the camera to lock the object in nanoseconds. As per the company, the camera has another feature called the super-resolution mode which uses software-based technology to increase the image resolution of a photograph up to a staggering 52 megapixels.
Apart from this, the phone also provides optical image stabilization and enhanced light sensitivity for low-light photography and allows the user to perform full HD video recording with a 1080p resolution at 30fps with video stabilization and one-touch still-capture. Additionally, it comes with two microphones with noise cancellation to provide better call quality.
