Asus ZenFone Ares Launched Price, Specifications and More

Asus, the Taiwan-based smartphone manufacturer company has silently launched the new AR and VR-centric smartphone, dubbed as ZenFone Ares in its home country at a price tag of TWD 9,999 roughly translates into Rs 23,000, which is remarkably lower as compared to last year launched the ZenFone AR in India priced at Rs 49,999 as its name implies it came with augmented reality experiences.

PCHome, Taiwan based e-commerce platform has started taking pre-orders of Asus Zenfone Ares. The smartphone has been listed at TWD 9,990 along with key specifications. The interested will purchase the Zenfone Ares VR- centric smartphone via local retail channel partners in the country.

Asus ZenFone Ares Specifications

The Asus ZenFone Ares features 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, 16:9 aspect ratio and a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It runs on Android Nougat - out-of-the-box skinned with ZenUI and comes with dual- sim configuration. The smartphone is equipped with Tru2life technology which provides Virtual Reality experiences to the users and also has an oil-repellent coating.

The Asus Zenfone Ares VR centric- smartphone is embedded with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset. For storing content, the smartphone has 8GB of RAM and 128GB inbuilt UFS 2.0 storage which can be further extended up to 2TB by using a memory card.

Asus Zenfone Ares comes with a 23-megapixel rear camera coupled with Asus' high-res PixelMaster 3.0 technology on top. The rear camera setup comes motion tracking and depth sensing features which facilitate Augmented Reality Experience to the users. For selfies and video calling, the smartphone has 8-megapixel front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0.

In terms of connectivity, Asus Zenfone Ares include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
